I am approved by the Consulate General of Italy in Boston as a translator for vital records, transcripts, diplomas, and all the other documents that you might need to submit to the Consulate. When required, translations are certified, i.e. they come with notarization and Apostille.

What You Will Need

When applying for dual citizenship, all legal documents must be translated into Italian. These documents might include birth, marriage, death, and divorce certificates, and any other legal documents that are necessary.

It is recommended that all translations are completed by a professional translator who can certify that all translations are true, accurate, and complete to the best of their knowledge, ability, and belief.

Time of completion varies greatly based on the amount, format, and readability of documents. I always ask to view application documents in order to provide an accurate quote and delivery time.
I am usually booked out for three-four weeks, but I also reserve some time in my schedule for any rush job that might come up. Even if your request is last minute, contact me anyway and I’ll find a way to assist you.
Yes, my rush fees range from +25% to double the price, depending on the urgency, amount of documents, certifications needed, and so on.
No, I work from digital copies (scans or high-resolution photos).

There is some confusion around the term “sworn” translator and translations. The professional figure of a “sworn translator” does not exist in the U.S., but a translator can provide a “Certification of Accuracy” on the translations. I will provide digital copies and hard copies with my signed “Certification of Accuracy,” following ATA (American Translators’ Association) guidelines. If your documents will not be submitted through a Consulate but directly in Italy, requirements may vary and I’ll be happy to assist you in figuring out exactly what you need. I’m always just an email or a Zoom call away, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Apostilles authenticate the seals and signatures of officials on public documents such as the ones you need for your citizenship application. Apostilles are required on your original documents but are not required on the translations when applying through an Italian Consulate.
No, each applicant must have their own set of documents. Even identical records will have different serial numbers, signatures, issuing dates, etc., and they all need their matching translation.
